BURLESQUE FUSION WEEKEND STHLM
Påfåglarna are very excited to welcome back the fantastic Dud Muurmand to Stockholm!
Dud Muurmand is not only the mother of Burlesque Fusion in the nordics, she is also a very experienced and multi-talented performer. With many years of training in theatre and various styles of dancing she has a solid foundation for the skills she teaches. She has been travelling various countries teaching her various styles. She is known for her very expressive way of dancing that captivates the audience, regardless of the style being, Tribal Fusion, Burlesque Fusion, Gypsy, Gangsta Fusion or other.
Count on an intensive weekend with loads of new inspiration and high spirits!
Please keep in mind that you should have at least one year of dance experience to get the most out of these workshops.

Price: 350 SEK
Feather boas, gloves, hats and canes are all very nice, but the main treat and the thing that should be in the centre is the dancer. That is what this class is all about. We will be doing classic Burlesque Fusion blended with a lot of theatrical expressions. During class we have a thorough technique drilling as well as learn a short but expressive choreography.

Max: 8 participants and 8 audience
This workshop is only avaliable as a part of the full weekend package.
For dancers that wants to develop as artists.
Participant: Perform a number (no more that 2 minutes long) and recieve personal feedback from Dud and from the group
Audience: Take part in the class without performing a piece. Is expected to participate in discussions and is welcome to give feedback.

Sunday is started with fast and exciting combinations with wide skirts. Here we learn to work with the skirt as more than just a part of our costume. The inspiration comes from Gypsy Fusion.
Bring a wide skirt, either a gypsy skirt or an ATS-skirt (25 yard). A few skirts can be borrowed, but that requires advance notification and participants from far are given priority.

We finish of the adventures of this glorious weekend with a homage to our roots; these were two of the tools that Dud brought with her when she first taught burlesque fusion in Stockholm. Once again we let Dud take us back to an era when films were in black and white, when you did not leave home without a hat and when gangsters ruled the streets.
Bring your own hat and cane (preferably a straight). A few canes can be borrowed, but that requires advance notification and participants from far are given priority.
